Street Food

What’s It About

Street Food is a game where you create different recipes based on food carts. You can purchase new recipes and cooking tools for creating those recipes.

Review

Street Food begins with…a pop up message asking if you want to download another game created by the company. That’s not promising, at least Street Food Tycoon had a nice banner advertising another game, this one is the plain Android message (you can check out the Street Food Tycoon review here).

Street Food Main Menu

The game is free, casual and can be played for maybe 15 minutes.

The main menu is a bunch of icons with no labels and even when you long press on them, no toast appears. The only obvious icon was the middle icon which I figured would start the game. I clicked on the gift box icon and there appeared a list of items but I couldn’t tell what they were for and I was hesitant to click in case it was an advertisement or in game store. This is not a good experience to have.

When you get into the game, there’s a small ad bar that covers up the bottom of the screen. It’s not that intrusive and I could live with it while playing but it did make me miss Street Food Tycoon which doesn’t display any ads while you’re playing.

The art isn’t that great but I’ve played games on GNU/Linux that looked worse.

The game is apparently that you put together ingredients and see the result and that’s it. Not much of a game, more similar to the simplistic one click apps or games out there.

Should You Play It?

Definitely would not recommend this app.
